It features a large bypass slot for heavy threads, yarns, or cords, and an adjustable tension screw for specialty threads. Lower the feed teeth, remove the stitch plate and replace the standard bobbin case with the Specialty Bobbin Case. Slide stitch plate back in place and raise feed teeth. FOR HEAVY OR SPECIALTY THREADS:1. Place the bobbin in the bobbin winder with the Husqvarna Viking logo out. Hold the specialty thread in your hand or slide it on to a pencil and wind the thread slowly and evenly onto the bobbin.2. Place the bobbin in the specialty bobbin case with the Husqvarna Viking logo up. For less texture use thinner specialty threads, and adjust the bobbin tension screw as needed so the thread pulls evenly. Place bobbin and pull specialty thread into the bobbin tension. FOR HEAVIER YARNS AND SPECIALTY THREADS1. Wind bobbin evenly by hand, in the opposite direction that the machine does it.2. Bypass bobbin tension: For the most texdtured bobbin work, do not pull the heavy thread or yarn into the bobbin tension or the thread cutter but go directly into the bypass slot. Place the bobbin in the specialty bobbin case with the Husqvarna Viking logo up. To bring the bobbin thread up, hold the top thread and turn the hand wheel one turn toward you. The heavy thread or yarn will be pulled into the bypass slot and a loop will come to the top. FOR BOTH TECHNIQUES:Thread the top with regular sewing thread. Use the size universal needle that is recommended for the weight of fabric you are sewing. Snap on the B or S foot,RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fv%7F.rpn37%3E-12b905613fa-->
