This is Butterick sewing pattern 5551 from 2001. It is unused, uncut, and in factory folds in the original envelope. The envelope shows some wear and tear that does not affect the contents.
Misses'Swimsuit and Cover-Up: Swimsuit has elastic neckline and armholes. A: partially lined, elastic legs. B: top lined, elastic on lower edge. Panties have elastic upper/lower edges. Coverup C or D, above mid-knee or above ankle, has contour, button waist, mock bands and narrow hem. Cover-up E has narrow hem. Note A, B: not suitable for one-way design.
Sizes 18, 20, and 22 are available in the envelope (bust 40 to 44, waist 32 to 37, hips 42 to 46).
Suggested fabrics: Swimsuit A,B, Cover-up D,D,E: Two-Way Stretch Knits Only. Also for C, D, E: Challis, lightweight Denim, lightweight Terrycloth and lightweight Broadcloth. Lining A, B: TwoWay Stretch Knits: Tricot. Unsuitable for obvious diagonals.
