DISNEY "MICKEY AND MINNIE IN HONOLULU'' LMTD ED FRAMED SERICEL OVER LITHOGRAPH BACKGROUND-BRAND NEW!

The following text was taken from the Certificate of Authenticity included with the Sericel:
"This is a specially created, limited-edition cel set-up depicting Walt Disney's animated characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse. In this sericel edition. "Mickey and Minnie In Honolulu", Mickey and Minnie stand in a colorful, tropical setting and consult a map of Hawaii - a map complete with their friends Goofy, Daisy, Pluto and Donald all enjoying world-famous local landmarks like the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor and Puukohola Heiau National Historic Site, as well as spectacular coastal scenery, surfing and even hula dancing.
The Walt Disney Studios has created the Mickey and Minnie Mouse character images using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Disney artists specially created a hand-inked, hand-painted animation master cel which was used by American Atelier of Carson, California in the production of these sericels. A total of 17 colors were used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactingly screen-printed, one color at a time, onto the acetate cel. The background scene accompanying this cel has been created by Disney artists. The background artwork has been lithographically printed on premium-quality, acid-free paper by Anderson Printing of Los Angeles, California. These two elements together create the cel set-up.
This limited-edition cel set-up was produced in 1998 and made available first through The Disney Store. It is comprised of a general edition or no more than 7,500 set-ups. The cel in this set-up is also used in other sericel editions in this collection spotlighting other cities throughout the world, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo and New York City, with more to follow. Those editions also consist of no more than 7,500 sericel set-ups, except for the Tokyo edition.
Walt Disney Art Classics approves the techniques used in the production of this edition and the proofs thereof. Conforming to the practice of fine art printing, the screens used to create the edition are destroyed when the edition is closed.
The original character drawings, the original background painting, and the hand-inked and hand-painted cel are archived with the publisher. There are no signed or numbered impressions in this edition."
