This calorie counting tea towel is a companion to the fat lady in another listing and is one of the most sought after tea towels from the 50s. To find one in any condition is rare but to find an unused one is nigh on impossible.
This very rare towel is from the late 40s or early 50s. It features a lot of common foods with their calorie count. In the center is a blond in a two-piece swimsuit (can't call this a bikini) standing on a scale. The border is a band of royal blue with calories written along it.
The towel is made of cotton and, with the exception of age yellowing along the edges, is in perfect unused condition. It measures 14x28 inches. A real collector's item. Rarer than rare.
