This original vintage 1948 Simplicity pattern is suitable for creating a wonderful girl's winter outerwear set. It features a Child’s Snow Suit and Helmet: The front buttoning jacket has adjustable straps at the waist and a pointed collar.The overalls feature applied knee patches and shoulder straps which buckle in front. The lower edges are gathered and join to ankle bands. Lining for the snow suit is optional. The lined helmet may have a self fabric chin strap or ribbon ties. In Style 1, two rows of buttons achieve a double breasted effect and patch pockets finish the jacket front. The pattern is complete. Instructions are included. The pattern has been stored a long time, and the envelope has yellowing, foxing and is in tatters. One pattern pieces has a tattered edge, but is still usable.
This outfit fits a 24-inch breast, 22-inch waist and 26-inch hip. The finished length at the side of the leggings is 29 1/2 inches.
