The 70's Shell Poncho - Updated Classic
Aren't these colors simply incredible? I originally made this pattern back in the 70s for myself. Ponchos are so popular now and this favorite has been recreated in the newest colors in the Red Heart line, Desert and Buff. This poncho was a major eye-catcher at my last show.
This a wonderfully casual poncho that is at home with a skirt and is, of course, fabulous with jeans. Easy-care 100% acrylic fiber. Machine hand wash due to the fringe, tumble dry low.
Dimensions are as follows:
Width Across Shoulders: 18" across
Neck Opening: 12" across
Widest Point: 44" across
Length Front Middle: 22.5"
Fringe: 9"
Comfortably fits S-M. Custom orders are always available on non-OOAK items to meet different size and/or color requirements.
NOTE: A certain amount of fraying on fringe is normal after washing, even in the machine hand wash method. All of my items washed before being sent out. Fringed items are washed prior their final trim for evenness.
