This DVD is filled with 2 hours of videos produced to promote Ridley Scott's masterpiece movie "Alien" (some segments are related to "Alien: The Director's Cut"). The DVD includes documentaries "Giger's Alien" & "The Shock & Awe", plus segments from various TV shows. Also included is rare vintage Super 8mm version of "Alien" - the official 17 minute cut made for pre-VHS market (duration was limited due to the length of 8mm film roll). It is brutally edited cut with alternate opening sequence and quite different ending. Due to various sources, formats and age of the materials, image quality varies. The DVD is intended as a supplemental disc to the official DVD/Blu-ray releases. You won't find this footage anywhere else!

Before purchasing make sure your DVD player and TV can play European PAL format DVDs. PC/Mac computers and many game consoles can play both PAL & NTSC. For serious collectors only - if you're looking for officially released footage, this item is not for you.
