Dried Bran:
Can be added to the feed (dry) to encourage mastication, to add bulk and to assist digestion. Bran is most commonly fed as a Bran Mash, which is a palatable warm feed that’s easily digested by sick or tired horses. It may also be fed a mild laxative which can be used if the horse is laid off work.
