This was Pioneer's answer to Marantz, Sansui, Technics, and everyone else who wanted to wage a watts war! It was rated at 270 watts per channel, but Stere Review got a MUCH HIGHER figure! Wait until you read it! This was arguably the best receiver ever produced. It had the best phono section, best tuner, best preamp, and the biggest Power Amp Pioneer has ever put together in one chassis.
