the egg chair by arne jacobsen & fritz hansen. designed in 1958, the egg chair was developed for the lobby and reception areas at the royal hotel in copenhagen designed by arne jacobsen in the late 50s. this technologically innovative lounge chair originated from a plaster cast jacobsen developed in his own garage. now, the synthetic shell is padded with cold foam and covered with fabric or leather.In this case we are offering it Burgundy Velour color fabric.
Other materials include a star-shaped aluminium base with a satin polished steel pedestal which both swivels and tilts.
Matching ottoman also available. in every sense of the word, the egg chair is a true classic.The chair measures 43" high by 33" wide and 22" deep.
