SCARECROW ~ U.S. Half-Sheet Poster NSS# 73/108 ~ WARNER BROS 1973

This poster is in Very Good / Excellent condition. With minor edge and surface wear ; a few, light surface creases ; an approx. 11" angled crease in the upper right (white) edge ; approx. 1 1/2" deep angled tanning along the bottom edge, into credits. A neatly-applied and unobtrusive studio-applied sticker (approx 2x2") reads: "WINNER of the Golden Palm BEST FILM ~ Cannes Film Festival 1973" Always ROLLED - never folded or stored flat and out-of-sunlinght since the '70s. It has bright, unfaded color and sharp images. Printed on glossy, heavy poster stock.

Against a tan background, the poster, designed by popular Hollywood Poster graphics artist BILL GOLD, features a nice line drawing of stars AL PACINO and GENE HACKMAN within a soft-edged circle, with the catchline: "The Prospective Owners of Mary's Car Wash, Pittsburgh PA" At the upper right is the distinctive stylized SCARECROW logo.

This acclaimed, "buddy" hit comedy/drama was directed by JERRY SCHATZBERG.
