Our Country - America

This book was conceived and produced by the U. S. New &World report to provide a more balanced picture of the United States.

It is an attempt in words and pictures to recover a sounder perspective and appreciation of our country and ourselves. The book focuses on the qualities of Americans and their institutions which hold the promis of overcoming poverty, ignorance, inequality, pollution, drug abuse and war.

It includes pictures and the Freedom Handbook from Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge. Also has the Bill of Rights.

There are lots of pictures and 288 pages.

It is copyright 1972 and the pages are in very good condition. The back on the spine may be slightly broken.

The jacket has some tears and has been taped, there are also a few spots.

My dad wrote a will inside the front cover in one of his less saner moments.

I have not checked this book page by page, skimmed thru the pages. I could not find any torn pages or any spots on the pages.
