Here for sale is an very vintage or but much more accurate, an antique solid wood plane, as it is at least 100 years old. It is very primitive in construction and uses a wedging method to keep the steel cutting blade in position and for adjustment( as shown). The handle is smoothly carved with large rectangular cut nails reinforcing it at the rear(as shown) giving this piece more indication of the age. It measures 21 7/8" in length 3 1/4" wide and 3" in height. The handle adds another 3 3/4" in height. Weighs a little over 6 lbs.
I rubbed some teak oil into the wood to help preserve the very old wood. Ready for display and appreciation. Great collectible and something very unique for the home.
