Lehman, Jr. The Fleet Marine Force Ribbon was awarded to any member of the Navy who completes twelve months of duty with the Fleet Marine Force.Before the ribbon may be awarded, a written exam was administered to test specific professional skills, knowledge and military experience which are required for members of the Fleet Marine Force. The Fleet Marine Force Ribbon may be worn for the remainder of a recipient’s military career.Members of the Naval Reserve are also eligible for the Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, provided that a total of twenty four cumulative months is served during which time satisfactory drill attendance is maintained.
