The R Means that these are Recorder type meters These meters are New Old Surplus never used. These meters can be programmed to suit your needs using the optocom port on the meter, and the approiate software. You must have this software in order to do this kind of programming. However the meter can be used just for straight kilowatt hour metering as well. There's also provisions inside of the meter for add on memory boards, and what not. These meters are very easily designed and adaptable for AMR retrofits. AMR means Automated Meter Reading. These are Form 45/5s, Class 20 Amp, 3 wire Delta 3 phase Current Transformer network meters. They require CURRENT TRANSFORMERS for use. I have included a wiring diagram of the terminal configuration, please check it to see if this meter will work on your application.
