Hello....Many years ago, my Aunt gave me this book, and now, I am ready to pass it on to someone else for their collection.
The book is titled....THE LAIDLAW READERS - Book Two - TEACHERS EDITION.
It was published by the Laidlaw Brothers in 1928 (It was originally published in 1917). The book measures 5 1/4" x 7 1/2", and there are 197 pages. The book is illustrated in COLOR by Mabel B. Hill and Betty Selover.
The book contains several stories, and some of those are....The Fox and The Crane (Aesop); The Tale of Peter Rabbit (Beatrix Potter); The Enchanted Frog (Grimm); Mickie Long-Tail (Nora Pitt-Taylor); and many more.
The first three pages has "Suggestions for the Teacher". And, after EACH story, for the teacher, there is....Class Preparation; Reading the Lesson; and Supplementary Activities.
The cover on the book is in excellent condition, and the spine is tight and secure. The pages are also in excellent condition with no writing.....however, they do show a little aging.
The dust jacket is not in good condition, and I would consider it in poor condition, because it has ripped and torn away corners. Thank heavens that the dust jacket kept the book in such excellent condition.
If you collect these reader type, teachers edition books.....then I hope you will consider adding my book to your collection.
