Painted shortly before the beginning of the second World War, Dalí described this image as “the masculine cosmic apocalyptic monster.” He believed it to be a premonition of war.

Dalí employed extensive symbolism in his work. The burning giraffe appears in a number of his works.

Laid flat this top measures about ~18" across the chest and ~23" long. Large will comfortably fit up to a ~36-38" chest/bust. (1" = 2.54cm)
