A Beautiful New Hand Printed Cap Sleeve Art Shirt featuring Van Gogh's PLUM TREES IN BLOOM
Plum Trees in Bloom by Vincent Van Gogh
Although Van Gogh sold only one painting in his life, the aftermath of his work is enormous. Van Gogh's paintings are some of the most well known and sought after images in modern culture. This is a women's shirt but it looks great on guys too! The term Japonisme was coined in France in the seventies of the 19th century to describe the craze for Japanese culture and art.
Van Gogh like so many other Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists was an admirer of Japanese art. The Japanese influence is obvious in his art work.
"I envy the Japanese artists for the incredible neat clarity which all their works have. It is never boring and you never get the impression that they work in a hurry. It is as simple as breathing; they draw a figure with a couple of strokes with such an unfailing easiness as if it were as easy as buttoning one's waist-coat." Vincent Van Gogh
Our art shirts are hand printed in limited quantities using non-toxic "watercolor technique" dyes on a wax press. High quality bright and durable screen prints on atop quality soft and stretchy 35/65 cotton-polyester blend Cap Sleeve T-shirt!
Shipped brand new in poly bag. This shirt will not shrink. Hand wash or machine wash gentle recommended to preserve the colors.
