A beautiful new top quality hand printed shirt featuring THE SCREAM by Edvard Munch
The Scream is Edvard Munch's best-known painting and is one of the pieces in a series titled The Frieze of Life, in which Munch explored the themes of life, love, fear, death, and melancholy.
As with many of his works, he painted several versions of it.
Printed on front, back and sleeves! The true beauty of this hand crafted top is hard to capture in pictures...
One version of The Scream was stolen in 1994, another in 2004. Both have since been recovered, but one version sustained damage during the theft which is too extensive to repair completely.
Some art historians believe that the red sky in the background of The Scream reflects the unusually intense sunsets seen throughout the world following the 1883 eruption of the Indonesian volcano Krakatoa. (I think it's a reflection of his agoraphobia- he was terrified of open spaces!)
Our art shirts are hand printed in small quantities using non-toxic "watercolor technique" dyes on a wax press. High quality rich and durable screen prints on a top quality cotton-polyester blend cap sleeve T-shirt. Shipped brand new in poly bag.
This top will not shrink. We recommend hand wash or machine wash gentle to preserve the colors.
This beautiful new shirt is misses size MEDIUM- Please check measurements to insure a proper fit:
This shirt is soft and can stretch to fit. Laid flat it measures about ~18" across the chest from armpit to armpit and ~23" long. Medium will comfortably fit up to a ~36-38" chest/bust. (1" = 2.54cm)
