This item is in good conditionwith some soiling and rubbing of the covers and the dustjacket, there is a tear of aprox ½” on the dustjacket, pages are clean and tight, I have not seen any writing on the pages. Contest include: this is the story of a young physician, and it portrays his career through the vicissitudes of success and failure, happiness and sorrow. Andrew Manson, whose early “take nothing for granted,” shows early promise of doing great things. The adventurous days, from his start in a colliery town though the realization of his ambition for a London practice, picture a sincere, conscientious young man almost broken and defeated though the arrogance and smugness of his superiors, and much, much more.
