THAT COLD DAY IN THE PARK ~ U.S. Half-Sheet Poster NSS# 69/244 -~ COMMONWEALTH UNITED ~ 1969

This RARE SIZE / RARELY-OFFERED poster from Movie-Icon Director ROBERT ALTMAN's underrated psychological sex-thriller is in Very Good condition. It has always been ROLLED or stored flat - NEVER FOLDED. With overall light edge and surface wear ; tack holes in the top two corners ; wrinkling in the bottom right and top center & right (white) edges ; several light surface creases, some fingerprinting and signs of normal theatre handling and use. A studio-applied sticker at the bottom corrects misprinted credits to include an originally-omitted "Based on a Novel By RICHARD MILES" acknowledgement. With bright colors and sharp images. It's printed on heavy, glossy poster stock.

The poster's arresting artowork shows sexually-repressed black-and-white star SANDY DENNIS peering thru abstract window blinds at the fragmented color image of her unaware obsession, co-star MICHAEL BURNS , who huddles on a park bench. Cool, stylized additional logo artwork (a style appearing frequently in this-period sex-dramas) shows DENNIS' hair morphing into a grasping hand that ensnares a naked BURNS.

The film also stars SUZANNE BENTON , JOHN GARFIELD, JR and LUANA ANDERS . Directed by ROBERT ALTMAN
