Bambi like fawn or deer china figurine 1950s vintage made in Japan hc2641

A very sweet Bambi style fawn or deer figurine made in Japan of china. This is an old figure probably from the early 1940s (the original Disney film was released in 1942) to the mid 1950s when the deer/fawn collectibles began to wane.

This little fawn is very pleasant to the touch and the finish shows where it has worn from handling. It sort of makes it look like a precious object that a previous owner loved to stroke. The piece stands 3.5 inches high. Marked Japan in black on the groin.

Interesting detail of the contruction. The four legs are hollow and open at the bottom of the hooves. This is really a nice figurine free of any chips or cracks or mends.
