Creating an enticing website, whether personal or for business, is no mean feat. Netobjects Fusion 10 bridges the gap between the cheap yet limited web page editing programs and the far more expensive Dreamweaver style alternatives.
Fusion 10 comes with a couple of templates to get you going, but more importantly supports cascading style sheets (CSS) and has useful extras such as photo galleries.
The opening page has links to online services from Netobjects and lists recently edited sites.
New sites can be created using one of the templates or with the site wizard. There are only two templates provided, although they are complete sites and a good way to see what Fusion is capable of.
It's more likely that you'll use the Site wizard to create your own. This provides you with a list of suggestions for pages to include a variety of colour schemes.
Once you've completed the groundwork, you can apply all sorts of styles to it - hundreds are available online through Fusion at no extra cost. Each can be applied with a click of a button thanks to the support for CSS.
The Site Design page shows the overall structure of the website and the view can be collapsed or expanded to prevent it becoming confusing.
A useful function is the ability to mark pages as finished and add comments to help keep track of progress in large sites.
