Vibraphonist Milt Jackson and tenor-saxophonist Stanley Turrentine stretch out on "Blues Force" (a conventional blues), guitarist George Benson and saxophonist Grover Washington, Jr., have spots on a funky "Rock Steady," and there are features for flutist Hubert Laws (a medley of "Theme from Love Story," "Pavane" and "Fire and Rain") and trumpeter Freddie Hubbard ("People Make the World Go Round"). However nothing all that surprising occurs; there are more essential CTI albums than this pleasant affair.This exquisite piece of retro music history is a vinyl sound recording (not a CD).
