Western Actor/Stuntman Neil Summers 1983 Autographed Photo Handwritten Letter

Legendary Hollywood stuntman and character actor Neil Summers (1944-) sent this package in 1983. Summers was probably shot more times by James Arness on TV's Gunsmoke than any other actor! He was also picked off horses by John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, etc. in a number of westerns. Look for him also in The Shawshank Redemption (1994) in the role of Pete.

Includes a pesonally inscribed/signed 8x10 b/w photo; a handwritten letter on personal stationery discussing his latest work in 1983; a pamphlet listing his TV/movie credits (with some in his own hand); and hand-addressed manila envelope.

The addressee is songwriter/Hollywood fan club pioneer Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985). Everything is in near mint condition.

Summers continues to work today, last serving as a stunt coordinator on 2009's Doc West. Don't miss this cowboy blast from the past, pardner!
