This is a Rare 1886 Hardcover First Series of the 4th Edition of "Historical Essays" by Edward A. Freeman and published by MacMillan & Company. The book includes 12 Historical Essays which were previously published by publications such as "The British Quarterley Review" and others. Some of the essays included in this book are: The Continuity of English History, The Relations between the Crowns of England and Scotland, The Holy Roman Empire, Presidential Government, and More! The book is an Ex-Library copy and is in Fair Condition. The outer binding has a small library # label attached to it. There is also some minor fraying along the edges, corners, and top and bottom of the outer binding. The outer covers also have some slight staining. The inner front endpaper is coming loose and also has a former Library Label affixed to it. The inner pages are all clean, unmarked, and intact. The binding is slightly loose in certain areas, but is still fully intact.
