1934 BLACK HILLS, South Dakota - Full Color Illustrated Souvenir Folder/Mailer

Here's a very nice unused souvenir folder/mailer from the Black Hills of South Dakota. It contains 16 full-color postcard-size photo illustrations in a double-sided accordion format. Featured views include: Hairpin Curve on Needles Highway, Custer State Park; Sylvan Lake, Custer State Park; The Traffic Cop, Needles Highway, Custer State Park; Mt. Rushmore Memorial; Game Lodge, Custer State Park; Bear Butte, near Sturgis; Mt. Rushmore Memorial from Spiral Bridge on Iron Mountain Road; Double Spirals on Iron Mountain Highway; Highway Through the Needles, Custer State Park; Mt. Rushmore - As it Looked Before, As it Looks To-Day; Twin Tunnels on Iron Mountain Road; The Needle's Eye, State Park; Rough Lock Falls, Little Spearfish Canyon; Mt. Rushmore Memorial from Tunnel on Iron Mountain Road; Sentinel Rock, Needles Highway; The Pinnacles, Needles Highway, Custer State Park

The folder was distributed by by Black Hills Post Card Co. of Deadwood, S.D. and is identified as Genuine Curteich-Chicago "C.T. Art-Colortone" Creation. It bears the number/code: "D-3649"

Size: approx. 4-1/4" x 6-1/8"

Date: Although not explicitly dated, as I understand the Curteich numbering system, "D-3649" should indicate a production date of 1934

Condition: Excellent, I'd say. The colors are bright and fresh and the folder has no noticeable wear. (Please see scans.)
