PRECIOUS MOMENTS * ENESCO CHRISTMAS BELL *Green Bow*
This gorgeous Precious Moments Christmas porcelain BELL was made by Enesco in 1995.
The background color is white, has a BOW on the top in pastel green, and 3D decorative accents of little flowers and leaves done in pastel green and pink colors, hearts and lines in pink, and dots in white.
Has a beautiful and delicate shinny crystal clear coating inside-out. On one side has the illustration of a mother holding a little girl on her lap, while reading a book to her.
There is a Christmas Tree and Christmas presents.
On the opposite side of the bell and inscribed within a delicate flowery garland/medallion it reads:
A long time ago, A baby was born, And now we rejoice, On Christmas morn, Baby Jesus cameTo share God & Love, That always shines down, From heaven above.
The stamp is done in Black and placed on the inside of the bell. It reads: THE ENESCO Precious Moments (Precious Moments Logo) COLLECTION© 1995 PRECIOUS MOMENTS, Inc. All rights reserved worldwide Licensee Enesco Corporation
Made in China
Stands about 4.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches at widest point (base).
Does not come in its original box, and is without tags. I have kept it well packed stored in a box to preserve its Mint condition. Has no chips, cracks, scratches, smudges, discolorations or any issues that I could detect.
A little of history: Precious Moments was originally created by American Illustrator Sam Butcher in the 1970's. His illustration of children have the particularity of teardrop shaped eyes.
When in 1978, Sam Butcher's artwork was discovered by Enesco, his art went from greeting cards and posters to porcelain bisque figurines inscribed with inspirational sayings until 2005 that Precious Moments pulled their product from Enesco.
Enesco and the Precious Moments company have always adhered to high quality standards, thus becoming into very thought after collectibles. Some have a Production Number showing on the bottom of the piece, but a few of the very earliest pieces were not numbered and would need to be determined by a photo guide.
They also have a Production Mark and Year of Copyright.
