50 kurus stamp printed in 1968 by Ajans - Turk Matbaasi (Ajans-Turk Printingpress) in Ankara as a rememberance of the 30th aniversary of Turkish leader and founder of Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's death. Stamp depicting the Hall of Honor inside his mausoleum in Ankara (Anitkabir) where he rests below the marble casket shown.
Kurus was worth 100th of a Turkish Lira (TL) before the removal of the 6 zeros from the end to start the new lira. It has been long out of circulation.
