This is clay wall plaque features one of the most famous Chinese heroes, Guan Yu. Guan Yu, one of the warriors from Chinese classic 'Romance of Three Kingdoms'. The red face and long beard is the signature look of Guan. He also carries his usual weapon, the Blue Dragon Crescent Blade.

The figurines are made of local Fengxiang clay, which was mixed with pulp and painted after it was shaped. The figurines are painted with such bright colors and traditionally each color has a special meaning. Green represents longevity; red means a flourishing year.
