Radio Personality Rosemary Wayne Autographed Postcard
Here it is, right out of the of the late 1930s. This is Chicago radio personality Rosemary Wayne, who has signed her personal postcard in light blue ink: "Regards from Rosemary Wayne, W.J.J.D." Autograph is darker than my scanner is showing.
Rosemary Wayne worked for Chicago radio station WJJD in the 1930s and '40s, where she hosted her own show. Rosemary covered the entertainment world, and interviewed many stars, including Orson Welles in 1939, where she asked him about his legendary "War of the Worlds" broadcast.
Excellent condition. Real photo postcard printed on back: Lawrence Phillip Studios - Chicago 4, Ill.
