> TUREEN: Marked LIMOGES BASSET AUSTRIA 3472. George Bassett was a New York company with factories in Limoges and in Austria. Mark dates the tureen to c. late 1800s - 1915.
> Tureen measures 9.5 in across and 3.5 in tall, has a fluted base
> Tureen lid is fitted with an opening for a ladle
> PLATE: Marked PORCELAINE THEODORE HAVILAND LIMOGES FRANCE and is imprinted with the TH mark. Marks establish that plate was made in France c. 1893 - early 1900's.
CONDITION: c. late 1800s, still beautiful, this serviceable tureen has some minor chips, no cracks or discoloration. Tureen has a small flake chip on lower side of the base, about 1 in long. Lid has a small chip on the underside rim, about 3/8 in long. Plate has 5 small nips on the rim. Gilt is mostly still intact.
