This adherent is referred to as a soft bond adhesive This means it stays in a soft state, it does not harden, and can be removed with a solvent. Perma Rite #1 is considered to be from the Silicone adhesive family. This adhesive is a medical grade adhesive which means it is prepared in a sterile environment and is suitable for human contact after skin test. , but it is not as resistant to oil secretions by the scalp. This is why we recommend no high activity for 24 hours after 1 application to ensure a good bond.
