A richly detailed color inkjet print on canvas, reproduced from a traditional Pattachitra artwork from Odisha, India. Deep crimson red, crisp black linework, and white highlights are hallmarks of this centuries-old folk painting tradition.

The scene shows young Krishna balanced at the top of a human pyramid of gopis, reaching for a hanging pot of butter (makhan handi). This is the beloved "Makhan Chor" (butter thief) story, also celebrated during Janmashtami as Dahi Handi. The pyramid stands beneath an ornate temple gateway topped by a tiered shikhara. Two elephants are set into the arch, and winged celestial figures holding lotus flowers hover above. Parrot-topped pillars, a checkered floor, and a finely patterned floral border complete the composition.

This is a decorative canvas reproduction/print, offering the visual richness of traditional Indian religious artwork in a versatile contemporary format.

NOTE: This artwork is a 11 color inkjet print on canvas which is latest technology for fine art reproduction.
