This is a DOOR CLOSER . It's a #4, has 3 adjustment screws to adjust the closing speeds and the backcheck which is a shock absorbing function to help guard against wind damage and abusive behavior . It is 7"long,1 5/8"wide ,2 3/4" tall. The color is silver or brown the brown one is pictured let us know which color you want when ordering . It comes with the instructions, arm and screws for installing. This closer is best suited for a 36 to 40" wide interior or exterior doors. This is a new closer with a 6 month replacement warranty This is comparable to Norton 1600 Series Door Closers
