Plot Summary
After graduating from Waseda University’s Faculty of Law, rookie lawyer Machiko Mayuzumi (played by Yui Aragaki) joins Miki Law Office to hone her legal skills. In order to help a client clear their name in a murder case, she seeks guidance from the legendary lawyer Kensuke Komikado (played by Masato Sakai), who has a variety of reputations, under the direction of the private secretary Zechi (played by Eiko Koike) of her boss and fellow lawyer, President Koichiro Miki. Kensuke Komikado possesses an extraordinary talent for defense and will use any means necessary to secure a victory. Since making his debut as a lawyer, he has maintained a perfect 100% winning record and was once a prized student under Koichiro Miki (played by Katsuhisa Namase). However, an incident eventually led to a falling out between these two giants of the legal world. When the rookie lawyer mentions a generous fee, the cunning and money-driven Komikado becomes highly interested; lured by the substantial potential earnings, he finally agrees to step in. In court, he uses his eloquence and skill in turning the tables to win the case. Following this, Machiko joins Komikado Law Office to continue her training as a lawyer. Subsequently, a series of legal battles brings the long-standing feud between Komikado and Miki back to the surface.
