Molutrex Solution from the ACM laboratory is indicated for the treatment of Molluscum contagiosum . It is a viral infection of the superficial layer of the epidermis, developing in the form of a benign skin tumor of viral origin. Common, Molluscum Contagiosum Virus (MCV) particularly affects children, but it can also affect adults, especially when the latter have an immune deficiency (HIV, chemotherapy, corticosteroid therapy, lymphoproliferative diseases). However, Molluscum contagiosum mainly affects children aged 2 to 10 years. Contamination occurs through direct contact or when sharing soiled objects such as bath sponges, towels, especially in swimming pools.
In adults, Molluscum is sexually transmitted and contamination occurs from skin to skin. This infection is characterized by small, flesh-colored or pearly skin lesions, located in children's skin folds or on the face, particularly when they are prone to atopic dermatitis. In adults, this phenomenon is rarer and most often appears in the genital area.
