Little Mher son of David of Sassoun, Vintage Embossed Copper Enamel Wall Decoration, Antique Armenian Art, Armenian Hero Epic
Antique vintage embossed copper enamel wall decoration made in Armenia in the Soviet era 1980s which evokes little Mher son of David of Sassoun and the wise man giving advise and how to free the nation. Replacing his father, Pokr Mher bravely fights against David’s opponents and completes his father’s revenge.
After David's death, his son, Little Mher continued to fight against the enemies. He managed to kill Chmshkik Sultan and took revenge for his father's dad. Then he got married to Gohar who was exquisitely beautiful. Unfortunately, his dad's curse came true and he remained childless. Gohar died and Mher felt that his heroic life was coming to an end. He was in major depression and for a long time, he was just wandering with his loyal friend - Kurkik Jalali.
One evening Mher was near Agravaqar (a huge rock). He hit the rock and broke it into two pieces. After that Mher left his horse alone and entered the rock. The Sassounians learned that Mher had entered the mountain and they were crying for about seven days. Many years passed and only once a shepherd could see Mher. After seeing him, the shepherd asked Mher when he was going to get out of the rock. Mher answered that as long as there is a lie in the world, he can't be allowed to get out of the rock. No one had seen Mher since that day.
