Arsenic and Old Lace (1969) DVD Movie

"Arsenic & Old Lace" is a 1969 American TV film directed by Robert Scheerer, starring Helen Hayes and Lillian Gish as elderly aunts Abby and Martha. The film is based on Joseph Kesselring's 1939 play and follows drama critic Mortimer Brewster (played by Crane), who discovers that his aunts have been poisoning lonely male guests in their Brooklyn home. Fred Gwynne, known for "The Munsters," plays Jonathan Brewster, a character originally played by Boris Karloff. The film was shot in color before a live audience, with some outdoor scenes added for the broadcast.
