The Needles x ASICS GEL-NYC “Black/Purple” is a collaboration by the popular fashion brand and ASICS on the lifestyle shoe. Based in New York City but inspired by Japanese Americana heritage style, Needles is one of the most creative clothing brands in the world, and is under the Nepenthes umbrella of brands that includes industry favorites such as Engineered Garments and South2 West8. As for Needles’ ASICS Gel-NYC “Black/Purple,” the shoe features a durable black canvas base and black leather overlays. The shoe’s stealthy look is contrasted with purple accenting on the rope-style laces, branding, and outsole. Release date: March 2024
