FRONTLINE® SPOT ON Cat, 3 pcs

FRONTLINE® SPOT ON – The original against ticks, fleas and lice in cats
With FRONTLINE® SPOT ON you can reliably protect your cat against parasites such as ticks, fleas and lice. No matter whether it is a house cat or an outdoor cat - simply applied to the skin, FRONTLINE® SPOT ON spreads with the skin's natural sebum film and acts like an invisible protective coat. This means your velvet paw is protected on all of its adventures in the house, garden and in the wild.

Trust the No. 1 against ticks and fleas for dogs and cats* - with proven effectiveness, tolerability and all-round protection for your four-legged friend.

FRONTLINE® SPOT ON can also be used to treat flea bite allergies.

In order to ensure complete, optimal protection, FRONTLINE® SPOT ON should be used on cats regularly every 4 weeks.

How FRONTLINE® SPOT ON works
After application, the product spreads from the application area with the skin's natural sebum film and acts like an outer, invisible protective coat against ticks, fleas and lice in cats. For optimal distribution, your cat should not be bathed for 48 hours before and after treatment. Parasites then absorb the active ingredient upon contact with fur and skin and are thus rendered harmless. FRONTLINE® SPOT ON can be used on cats as young as 12 weeks old and also on pregnant or lactating kittens.

Frequently asked questions & answers
Why should I treat my cat for ticks and fleas?
Ticks and fleas can cause dangerous infectious and skin diseases that can be dangerous not only to us humans, but also to our animals. Typical parasitic diseases are tapeworms such as the cucumber seed tapeworm, which are often transmitted by fleas. But ticks can also pose a risk of illness for our velvet paws - studies have shown that one in three ticks carries the trigger for Lyme disease. Therefore, pet owners should treat their four-legged friends as a preventive measure with parasite protection.

Why do I still see ticks after treatment?
FRONTLINE® SPOT ON eliminates over 90% of ticks within 48 hours. However, due to the principle of action, it is possible that live ticks that have newly infested the animal are temporarily visible on the animal. However, they are killed as soon as sufficient active ingredient has penetrated the shell and can then be easily removed. This can ensure that there is no risk of infectious diseases being transmitted by the affected ticks to other animals in the household or surrounding area.

Why do I still see fleas after treatment?
FRONTLINE® SPOT ON eliminates over 95% of fleas within 24 hours. However, as soon as fleas are discovered on the animal, the eggs, larvae and pupae have usually already spread to the surrounding area. The adult fleas on the animal only make up around 5% of the flea infestation. New fleas can always develop from flea breeding - so the entire flea cycle must be broken in order to get rid of the flea infestation. This only happens when there are no more offspring, which can take up to 3 months. The flea brood can infest the entire home environment. Therefore, as a supplementary measure, it is recommended to clean the environment mechanically by vacuuming and washing the affected textiles daily and to kill the flea brood with suitable insecticides (e.g. from FRONTLINE HOMEGARD®).

How do I protect my kitten from fleas and ticks?
Kittens can also be infected with parasites. Fleas in particular can cause problems for little ones and, in the event of a massive infestation, can even cause anemia. FRONTLINE® SPRAY can be used on dog and cat puppies from the first day of life. It immediately renders ticks and fleas harmless and can be adjusted precisely to the puppy's weight.
