1. What VOLTAR EMULGEL is 1.16% Gel and what it is used for
The active ingredient of VOLTAREN EMULGEL 1.16% Gel is diclofenac diethylamine, which belongs to the group of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). VOLTAR EMULGEL 1.16% Gel is a specially created formulation for rubbing into the skin.
VOLTAR EMULGEL 1.16% Gel is applied to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and swelling in a number of painful conditions affecting the joints and muscles.
It is suitable for the treatment of:
Adults and adolescents over 14 years:
Muscle and joint injuries (sprains, sprains, strains, bruises, back pain, sports injuries);
Inflammation of the tendons (for example, "tennis elbow").
Adults (over 18 years of age):
Mild forms of arthritis of the knees or fingers.
2. What you need to know before you use VOLTAR EMULGEL 1.16% Gel
Do not use VOLTAR EMULGEL 1.16% Gel
If you are allergic to diclofenac or to other NSAIDs used to treat pain, fever or inflammation, such as ibuprofen or acetylsalicylic acid, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction to these medicines may include: wheezing or shortness of breath (asthma), skin rash with blistering or hives, swelling of the face or tongue, runny nose
If you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
If you are under 14 years old.
Do not use BOJITAPEH EMULGEL 1.16% Gel if any of the above applies to you.
