Vintage Hofbauer Lead Crystal Cut Glass Candlestick Holder Roses & Stars 5" Tall

This is an Original, Pre-owned Candlestick Holder made of lead crystal cut glass. It was made by Hofbauer Crystal Company of West Germany that produced dozens of collectible Lead Crystal Pieces in the mid to late 1900s. Hofbauer has been a defunct company now for some time, but their crystal pieces are still popular purchases at flea markets, online products and antique stores. The history of the company is a part of the history of glass making in the German Bavarian Region itself. Any collector or owner of Hofbauer Crystal pieces should take a little time and read up online or at a good library the history of their crystal. The only surviving company making glass in the region is "Nachtmann", according to an online website. Hofbauer went out of business sometime in the late 1900s. However their lead cut crystal is one of the most popular cut glasses and one of the most collectible and no slowdown really in sight for it not to be. This holder features a triangle design in the body with each side having an embossed rose with frosted petals it is truly beautiful. It is 5" Inches tall with a base diameter of 3 1/8" Inches, then if move up to the triangular part of holder it is 1 5/8" Inches wide and lastly if go up to the mouth of holder it is 1 3/4" Inches in diameter. The depth for the candle is 1 1/2" Inches. This piece of crystal like most is a heavy piece for its size, weighs in at 12.4 ounces. There is a rose with etched petals on each triangular face so three altogether, the roses are each right at 1" in diameter.
