AWESOME TO HANG BEHIND YOUR BAR OR ON LIQUOR CABINET.This is an Original 1944 print ad for Johnnie Walker a blended Scotch Whiskey that was born in 1820 and still going strong. "This Auto dropped out of the race long ago, but Johnnie Walker still sets the pace, today" fits the brand even more today then it did in 1944 with his larger line of whiskey labels and uninterrupted leadership while the 1828 Gurney Steam Carriage Auto is still sitting out the race. Walker claimed in this ad to have one of the most distinctive flavors and unsurpassed mellowness's of all whiskeys. At the time their sole importer to the USA was "Canada Dry Ginger Ale, Inc of New York, N.Y." and they had two labels of whiskey both 86.8 proof & 100% pure scotch whiskey- the award winning Red label and their Black Label. So for the pride & satisfaction that goes with treating your guests or self well you served one of these two labels from Kilmarmock, Scotland. Now today you can find Black Label, Blue Label, High Rye, Red Label, Gold Label Reserve, Double Black, Green Label, 18 Years, King George V, Johnnie Blonde, Celebratory Blend, Jane Walker, and Blue Label Ghost. The Black Label is whiskey aged at least 12 1/2 years, the Blue Label is their most popular selling today. High Rye is a blend of 60% rye and Black Label, Red Label is still the award winner and worlds best selling whiskey. Gold Label Reserved is from whiskies chosen for their sweet, honeyed qualities while Double Black is known for their youthful more rebellious flavor. The Green Label is aged 15 years and the 18 years is aged 18 Years in handpicked casks.The King George V celebrates the Monarch who gave them their first Royal Warrant in 1934, the Blonde is made to be mixed. The Celebratory blend has a strong raisin flavor.
