DESCRIPTIONAn evergreen tree with tropical origins is called lodhra. Its stem, which ranges in colour from grayish-brown to pale-whitish brown, is irregular, rough, and speckled with white patches and fissures. The majority of plants have simple, elliptic-oblong or elliptic-lanceolate leaves with an attenuate base, narrow apex, and slightly curved margins. On both side curves, it is generally globular, polished, and shiny above the nerve pair. Flowers are white, bisexual, and tiny. It has five lobes and a unique scent. The majority of fruits in nature are drupes, which have a globose, cylindrical shape and a purplish-black colour. The 1-3 embedded seeds often have a woody endocarp, are oblong, and are firm. Many regions of the world have different names for Lodhra. In English, it is primarily referred to as Lodh tree or Symplocos bark.
