1977 Souvenir Mint Set - Mini Album
Complete with unhinged stamps placed onto mounting page in the 3 fold folio album.
This mini album was an early offering of the USPS in which the collector purchased a set of the commemorative stamps issued during the year. This year set has a special mounting page within the 3-fold folio to display the stamps behind mylar thus eliminating the damage caused by hinges, predating later sets whereby individual mounts were included to maintain the stamps in mint unhinged condition. Note - as was the problem with these mounting pages, there could be some separation of the glue line for the mylar protective strips and / or minor bending along the outer edges caused by the 3-fold folio.
Stamp issued in 1977 include; Pueblo Indian Pottery (Blk./4), Butterflies (Blk./4), Lindbergh Flight, Cent. Sound Recording, Christmas Issues, Peace Bridge, etc. etc. for a total of 27 mint stamps.
