1. What Mucosolvan Mini is and what it is used for
Ambroxol hydrochloride, the active substance in Mucosolvan Mini, increases mucus secretion in the airways, which helps to clear phlegm and relieve cough.
Indications for use
Acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and bronchi associated with impaired mucus secretion and difficulty in clearing it.
2. Information before using Mucosolvan MiniWhen not to use Mucosolvan Mini
If you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
If you have kidney problems or severe liver failure, consult your doctor before using Mucosolvan Mini.
Cases of severe skin reactions associated with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride have been reported. If a rash appears (including changes in mucous membranes, e.g., mouth, throat, nose, eyes, genitals), stop using Mucosolvan Mini and contact your doctor immediately.
Mucosolvan Mini and other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take.
Ambroxol increases the concentration of antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin) in bronchial secretions and sputum.
Do not take Mucosolvan Mini at the same time as cough suppressants (e.g., codeine), as this can lead to a dangerous buildup of bronchial secretions due to a weakened cough reflex. Cough suppressants, by inhibiting the cough reflex, make it difficult to cough up thinned mucus.
No clinically significant adverse interactions with other medicines have been demonstrated.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
The use of Mucosolvan Mini during pregnancy, especially in the first three months, is not recommended.
The use of Mucosolvan Mini in breastfeeding women is not recommended, as ambroxol hydrochloride passes into breast milk.
Driving and operating machinery
There is no evidence of the medicine affecting the ability to drive and operate machinery.
No studies have been conducted on the effect of the medicine on the ability to drive and operate machinery.
