Wild Garlic has a wonderful star shaped flower with a full white colour that will spread like a carpet. The leaves are densely packed and glossy green. Allium ursinum is fantastic amongst bluebells. Wild garlic will release a scent once in contact with light and is used vastly in cooking, considered a milder garlic with a less intense smell. For the first two months wild garlic should be sown outside in cold temperature 0-10°C (32-50°F). Once established wild garlic will self-seed. Wild garlic prefers full shade but will grow in partial shade, it is used to wet woodlands and grows mainly along a river side with slight acidic soil.
