BROAD BEAN 'Aquadulce' Long Pods 15 Vegetable Seeds.
Known in England 600 BC. A winter and spring vegetable prized for its resistance to heavy frosts, used as fresh or dried beans. Eat fresh from a pod such as peas, or the dried seeds are excellent cooked for casserole recipes and boiled as a Greek-style salad with avocado and garlic, also used to make hummus. Rich in vitamins B and E. Pinching the ends after the first flowers appear encourages the pods to be planted especially in warmer areas. Plants may need support with rope between stakes. It prefers only slightly acidic soil, too much manure will encourage overgrowth of leaves. Sow late summer, fall, winter, and spring in cooler regions.
