Description
An Italian variety related to gourds but most often cooked and eaten as a summer squash. The vines are vigorous and the fruit has pale green skin and creamy white flesh and can grow from 40cm up to 1 metre in length. When picked young the fruit has a flavour similar to zucchini and can be sauteed, grilled or pickled, while mature fruit can be roasted or used in soup. Also known as 'Zuzza', 'Suzza Melon', 'Cucuzzi' or 'New Guinea Bean'.
How to sow and grow:
Method: Sow direct
Sowing Depth: 25mm
When: Spring or after frost

Position: Full sun, rich well drained soil
Plant Spacing: 60cm
Hardiness: Frost Tender
